Hi Everyone,

We hope you all had a great Christmas and New Year and are as pumped as we are for another year at uni!!! To get back into ES for the year, we're kicking off with Summer ES! 

Starting on Tuesday, January 26th, we're having a social afternoon/evening of sport, games, food and fun. Meeting at Musgrave park (near South Bank) at 3.30pm, we'll just hang out, kick a few balls around, and catch up on everything we've missed on our holidays. We'll provide drinks, so if you could bring some form of picnic dinner to share and any chairs/rugs/sporting equipment you want.


For the next 3 weeks (Feb 2, 9 & 16), we'll be meeting on a Tuesday night at St Andrew's Anglican Hall at 5.45pm for dinner, games and a bible study. This year we'll be looking at Matthew 13 together and explore some of the parables that Jesus told. Please bring a bible, $5 to cover costs and all your first year friends!!!

Attention first year students, UQ Evangelical Students are having a social event this Thursday especially for first year students. This will be a great opportunity to hang out with friends you've already made at ES, and to meet other christian first years.

After a few weeks of transition, both Uni Bible Talks are being held in Building 82D Room 102. If you haven't already, now would be a great time to check out the Bible Study and Prayer Meeting times.

(For those who think they may get lost, a group will leave from the Clocktower at approximately 12.45pm)
Wednesday: 1pm. Steele Building Room 309

However! As of Week 3, Tuesday and Wednesday UBTs will both be held in Building 82-D Room 102.

Who: Anyone, particularly everyone reading this, and their friends/aquaintences/colleges
When: Thursday March 19 1-3pm
Where: Natural Amphitheatre. (big green patch of grass near the Lake with the bridge!)
What will it cost: Free!! (although we won’t object to a donation if you feel so inclined)

The perfect way to end a busy week, no matter if you’re just not that into sport or you wish there was a Bachelor of Sportyness and other Physical Activity (B SPA?), this ES event is the one for you! Grab your friends and meet outside the Holt Room (between Schonell Theatre and Main Refectory) at 3pm every Friday arvo to meet new people and hang out with old friends. Feel free to sit and watch too!!
